Earth Day 2025

In celebration of Earth Day 2025, a meaningful green initiative took place at Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP), where 350 mangrove seedlings ( Rhizophora Apiculata / Rhizophora Mucronata ) were planted. This effort, jointly organized by K.K.I.P. Sdn. Bhd. and the Environmental Protection Department (Jabatan Perlindungan Alam Sekitar - JPAS), aimed to promote environmental awareness and contribute to the preservation of biodiversity within the industrial park’s ecosystem. The program gathered the participation of government agencies, industry players, nearby schools, and the local community demonstrating a shared commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship. We were honoured by the presence of YBhg. Datuk Josie Lai, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah, who officiated the event. This initiative aligns with KKIP’s broader environmental agenda and Malaysia’s nationwide greening efforts, reinforcing our belief that every tree planted today is an investment in a greener tomorrow.
